Visual studio code ssh11/1/2023 ![]() ![]() Once connected to a server, you can interact with files and folders anywhere on the remote filesystem. Without private key auth, I am prompted for my logon password (for the remote user). The Visual Studio Code Remote - SSH extension allows you to open a remote folder on any remote machine, virtual machine, or container with a running SSH server and take full advantage of VS Code's feature set. Every time I log in to my remote computer, I am prompted for my private key's password. Instead, they seem to be using the Git for Windows SSH client from MinGW. It did not help and just upgraded RPi 3B to RPi 4 Now Remote-SSH of Visual Studio Code is working perfectly fine on it. I am using ssh just fine in my PowerShell, but Visual Studio Remote Development (and I guess Git for Windows?) are not using my OpenSSH. I am running OpenSSH on Windows, using the built-in OpenSSH included since the Autumn/Fall Creators Update. ![]()
